The Mentalio application is currently in the clinical trial phase.
What does this mean in practice and who can get involved?
Mentalio is a medical product, therefore it must undergo mandatory clinical trials. These involve evaluating the system's effectiveness and safety through data collection, algorithm validation, and verifying its functionality with patients aged 13-21 years. These studies are conducted exclusively by specialists from the University Hospital in Krakow. Patients of this hospital who meet the inclusion criteria and are not subject to exclusion criteria can participate in the clinical trials.
Access to the research results is limited exclusively to those conducting the clinical trials, however at this initial stage, the system does not yet provide predictions or diagnostic suggestions to clinical decision-makers.
Patients participating in clinical trials have the opportunity to receive an even more accurate diagnosis and personalized therapeutic suggestions that may contribute to more effective therapy and, consequently, improved quality of life. They also contribute to the improvement of the system, which in the future will allow for a more precise and personalized approach to diagnosis and treatment.
