Core information about

Mentalio is a system supporting diagnostic and therapeutic decisions in the area of mental health of young people, based on artificial intelligence algorithms. Its aim is to support specialists in diagnosing and planning therapy by precisely assessing the patient's mental state. This system enables a more personalized therapeutic approach, which supports the effectiveness of treatment and improves the quality of patient care.

The clinical trial is open to patients aged 13 to 21 years who are admitted to the hospital for an acute, planned, or consultation visit or are treated as outpatients, day patients, or inpatients. Participants must meet the inclusion criteria and not meet the exclusion criteria. In the case of minors, the consent of a legal guardian is required.

Using Mentalio brings a number of benefits to the patient, such as more accurate diagnosis or personalized therapeutic recommendations that allow for faster implementation of appropriate treatment. The system supports a better understanding of the essence of mental problems, which contributes to more effective therapy and improvement of the patient's quality of life and mental health.

Research on the Mentalio system is conducted by specialists from the University Hospital in Krakow. Verification of results and assessment of the system's safety is carried out by an interdisciplinary research team that supervises the clinical process and ensures compliance with applicable legal regulations and medical standards.

To implement Mentalio, you need internet access, a computer with a mouse, and an account set up for the school or facility staff by the Mentalio team.

Once a patient is added, the research process begins with the patient and/or their caregiver completing diagnostic questionnaires and possibly standardized psychological tests that collect data on mental and emotional state.

The system analyzes data collected from surveys and interviews to assess risk, recognize symptoms of mental disorders and precisely determine the patient's condition.

Based on data analysis, the system suggests a diagnosis and recommends treatment directions, proposing appropriate therapeutic actions and, if necessary, referring the patient to further specialist care.
